| In
1999, One Man and A Hammer, Inc. began as a small,
family-owned business focused on providing services to
homeowners looking for a contractor that handles the small
remodeling projects. We have now grown to six professional
tradesmen and an office manager to handle the increased
workload and high customer demand. We still provide the same
high quality work, ingrained in Bob Gallese, President of
One Man and A Hammer, Inc., since his childhood years.
As a
teenager he worked with his grandfather, a Master
Carpenter, during his summer vacations from school. He
always loved working with tools and building things from
cabinets to home additions. From the age of 13 until he
graduated high school, Bob's summers were spent learning
a trade.
Based on
his extensive experience gained through working in the
remodeling industry for a national firm, he put together
a company that caters to the overlooked small jobs
market. Fortunately, these small jobs have turned into
much larger projects on many occasions leading to our
growth.
One
typical complaint from homeowners was, "We can't find
anyone to do the smaller remodeling projects. When we do
find someone willing to handle the "small stuff" it's
usually a person looking to make extra money aside from
their full-time employment and typically they are not
insured."
It was
then that he thought about those home-owners needing a
dependable contractor who is willing to do smaller jobs
and be responsive to their needs. One Man and A Hammer,
Inc. was born never forgetting Bob's grandfather's
lesson...
"DO IT
RIGHT OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL" and "TREAT ALL JOBS AS IF
IT WERE YOUR HOME"
These two
"lessons" stick with Bob today as the motto of One Man
and A Hammer, Inc. exemplifies:
"Done
right...Done once!!" |
